Safety Coordinator
Meyers Bros. Trucking was founded in 2003 by the current owners, Craig and Dustin Meyers, with a base of operations in Pioneer, Ohio. Starting with three trucks servicing a Menards store in Defiance, Ohio, MBT has now grown to over sixty trucks servicing the entire Midwest, but mainly running in the Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana regions.

We are currently seeking a full-time Safety Coordinator to join our team in Pioneer, OH! In this role, you will coordinate the transportation safety and loss processes and provide overall support and guidance to the operations team.
Pay: $45,000-$60,000/year

Responsibilities:
- Prevents loss through proactive methods of training, incident investigation, insurance, corrective actions and observations.
- Manages all transportation accidents and claims.
- Ensures all license plates and title renewals for all equipment through all business units (MBT, GTS and ITTR).
- Obtains all legal documents and maintains them in all equipment including but not limited to, vehicle registration, IFTA, HUT, UCR along with annual inspections.
- Conducts monthly reviews of CSA and safety scores, graphs and reports data to management.
- Annually updates DOT information on CSA website.
- Manages all vehicle citations, violations, roadside inspections from beginning to end (corrective action, training, payment, prevention, etc.) including follow-up on any repairs.
- Ensures transportation software systems are up-to-date with drivers expiration dates (citations, violations, equipment dates, etc.).
- Develops and implements safety policies and procedures.
- Organizes and administers quarterly safety meetings and bonuses.
- Review dash cam videos and electronic logs; coach/train and/or issue corrective action as necessary.
- Manages annual permits.
- Manages random drug/alcohol process and hours of services for all business units (MBT, GTS and ITTR) to ensure compliance with DOT and FMCSA.
- Acts as liaison with 3rd party insurance companies.
- Ensures safety compliance with DOT and FMCSA through all business units.
- Implements and oversees all aspects of the Drivers Safety Training Program.
- Partners with Human Resources and Recruiting to ensure new hire orientations are administered properly.
- Processes new applicant MVR, PSP and DAC; recommends hiring status based on these reports.
- Partners with the Asset Manager to ensure equipment is managed properly and effectively.
- Creates an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, Bachelor’s OR 4 years related experience preferred.
- At least one (1) year experience with driver qualification file management preferred.
- At least one (1) year FMSCA/DOT experience preferred.
- At least one (1) year experience with accident investigations preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications.
Schedule:
- 45 hours/week.
- Occasional extended hours and weekend work.
