Key Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels and track inventory movements using electronic systems or manual records.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to identify discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate with suppliers to replenish stock and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend adjustments to inventory levels or ordering processes.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage, overstock, and stockouts.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory management processes and efficiency.
- Maintain organized and efficient storage areas, ensuring proper labeling, rotation, and handling of inventory.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory management policies and procedures.
- Provide regular reports and updates on inventory status, performance metrics, and recommendations for improvement to management.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified in Forklift operation
- Minimum of 2 years' experience managing inventory
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with mindfulness
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office applications, especially Excel
- Excellent communication and people skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendors
- Ability to lift fifty pounds, and to bend, stand, walk, and lifting for extended periods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a demanding environment
- Knowledge of inventory management best practices, techniques, and regulations
