Description

Group O is seeking an Inventory Control Associate to develop and drive processes that ensure inventory accuracy, deliver effective property control and report audit activities to support the client requirements.

As an Inventory Control Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels within the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the right products are available in the right quantities at the right time to meet client demands. You will collaborate closely with various departments such as logistics, purchasing, and operations to optimize inventory processes and minimize discrepancies. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and profitability of the organization by ensuring accurate inventory control and effective inventory management practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels and track inventory movements using electronic systems or manual records.
  • Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to identify discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to replenish stock and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend adjustments to inventory levels or ordering processes.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage, overstock, and stockouts.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory management processes and efficiency.
  • Maintain organized and efficient storage areas, ensuring proper labeling, rotation, and handling of inventory.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory management policies and procedures.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on inventory status, performance metrics, and recommendations for improvement to management.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified in Forklift operation
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience managing inventory
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with mindfulness
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office applications, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication and people skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendors
  • Ability to lift fifty pounds, and to bend, stand, walk, and lifting for extended periods
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a demanding environment
  • Knowledge of inventory management best practices, techniques, and regulations
