Description
Secure Parking Systems (SPS) is looking for reliable Security Officers to oversee our parking lot operations in the Newark, NJ area. We are looking for a professional security guard to protect our premises, employee assets, and personnel entering/exiting the area. You will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions.
The position details include but not limited to:
- Interacting with customers on a daily basis
- Conducting foot patrols regularly and consistently
- Writing incident reports on a needed basis
- Monitoring employees and cars that park at the location
- Remain vigilant, alert and observant
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Remain vigilant, alert and observant throughout the entirety of your shift
- Valid SORA license
- Minimum one-year of security experience in the related field a plus
- Flexibility: capable to work various shifts based on operational needs (nights, overnights and weekends)
- Must be able to complete and pass required guard training test
- Possess the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written with management
- The ability to work in all types of weather conditions including inclement weather
- Must have a valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subjected to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria
Shifts include: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm & 10:00 pm - 6:00 am (Days Off to Be Determined)
Compensation: $16.00 per hour
