What are the responsibilities and job description for the Airport Facility Manager position at Group One?
Scope of Work
The Facility Manager is responsible for the overall success of the facility’s operation and possesses a strong working knowledge of industry regulations and best practices, stays innovative, and maintains a keen eye for improving operational efficiencies. The successful candidate must have above average knowledge of industry trades, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, facility maintenance, skilled in management best practices.
Other Responsibilities and Duties:
- Mange the weekly tasks of employees under your supervision, while delegating and monitoring the progress of varies tasks including preventative maintenance schedules and special projects- ensure all tasks are complete timely and efficiently
- Managing customer concerns and feedback and ensure positive outcomes and solutions
- Hiring qualified staff that will integrate well with the team and the Company’s culture
- Develop comprehensive training programs for all new hires and current employees
- Create a process for tracking the progress of projects and work orders
- Frequently audit and observe on-going and completed tasks, ensure that finished work meets Company standards and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with internal and external resources and organize appropriate manpower to preform special projects as needed
- Oversee, track, and reconcile budget, purchasing materials, and inventory
- Assist with administrative functions- create, update, and review invoice, purchase orders, and work order for accuracy
- Facilitate and maintain a personable and professional working relationship with customers and staff members alike
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate degree in business management or similar field of study preferred but not required
- Must have at minimum five (5) years of management experience
- Must have at least three (3) years of Facility Management experience or similar
- Must have knowledge of all industry trades including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting
- Must have the ability to lead others and possess strong communications skills
- Must be able to positively collaborate with clients, upper-management, and staff members
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Possess the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Must be able to work on call and travel as necessary to meet operational demands
- Possess an active U.S. Driver’s License, with at least three (3) years of qualifying experience
- Must be willing to work in a drug free work environment
Compensation is depended on experience - Medical, Vision, Dental, Life insurance, 401k
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
