Job Summary:
We are seeking a strategic, creative, and highly motivated Content Strategist & Communications Expert to join our dynamic team in New York. This role is crucial in defining and articulating client proposals, creating solid strategic foundations, and crafting unique content strategies that drive impactful brand storytelling and engagement. The ideal candidate will blend strategy, research, and creative and edit skills, and will play a key role in both client revenue growth and new business development.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Insights (33%)
- Conduct thorough research, brand, and competitive audits to inform strategic insights that stimulate client revenue growth.
- Develop and define strategic narratives that address client challenges and opportunities.
- Lead and provide strategic direction for client accounts, ensuring consistency and effectiveness in content strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate proposed strategies into effective content across various formats that meet client’s needs
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, acting as a conduit for insights to enhance our strategic approach.
- Conduct internal meetings, such as client inspiration sessions, and brainstorms, ensuring alignment and strategic coherence across the agency.
Client Collaboration & Presentation development (34%)
- Partner closely with Client Services to deeply understand client needs, target audiences, and business goals.
- Confidently present and articulate strategic recommendations to clients, ensuring clarity and impact and successfully close new business.
- Develop and manage presentation calendars and workflows to ensure timely execution and delivery of client proposals.
- Optimize resources to maximize efficiency
New Business Development & Growth (33%)
- Support business development efforts by crafting compelling responses to RFPs and RFIs, and developing leading perspectives that convert leads into revenue opportunities.
- Collaborate with business development teams to shape and execute growth strategies, including the development of business proposals, structure projections, and KPIs.
- Participate in external outreach and marketing efforts, maintaining a consistent communication rhythm around new business activities.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 6-8 years in a strategic content role, preferably within an agency setting.
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
- Skills:
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to lead and provide strategy across multiple client accounts.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform content strategy.
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and independently as needed.
- Proficiency in content management tools and project management software (e.g., Monday, Teams).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and MacOS Keynote.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $75,000-180,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
