Group Therapy Pub & Playground is looking to hire creative/ experienced bartenders with full time availibility.

Group Therapy Pub & Playground is the most talked about venue in all of Greenville. Featuring 18 holes of mini golf, axe throwing, ice curling, and ping pong, we have experiences for everyone.

We also have a full restaurant and bar featuring a 30 tap self serve beer wall, 40' long bar making the craziest cocktails, and a kitchen that will serve up so many delicious sharable items.

Job Summary:

The bartender is responsible for producing and serving customer requested beverages using company recipes. You must have a professional, high-energy attitude with excellent communication skills. You will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food. You will also be required to create recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties. This job requires a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You will need to be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable. Your primary goal is to provide excellent customer service at all times.

Essential Duties and Requirements of the Job: Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders

  • Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol
  • Serves customers with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner
  • Presents ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Maintains dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude
  • Protects establishment and customers by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
  • Helps customers select food and beverages by suggesting options, explaining the restaurant specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food preparation questions
  • Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording customers’ choices and identifying patrons’ special dietary needs and special requests
  • Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers
  • Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression
  • Responds to additional customer requirements by inquiring of needs and observing dining process
  • Contribute to developing new cocktail recipes
  • Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to customer needs
  • Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant and inviting customers to return
  • Obtains revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, delivering bills and payments to , and returning change or credit card and signature slip to customers
  • Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment
  • Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register
  • Attend pre-shift meeting before service begins in order to learn function particulars, including bar specs and guest expectations
  • Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked
  • Follow attendance rules
  • Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards
  • Attend all employee meetings and trainings beyond scheduled shifts as required
  • All other related responsibilities assigned by management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $8-12 per hour depending on experience
