Position: Research Analyst (Entry to Mid-Level)

Location: Alexandria, VA

Overview: Group W, Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking an experienced and resourceful Research Analyst to support our government client. The Analyst will research and report on military-related studies. The position requires the Analyst to engage with clients to identify and obtain studies previously completed or currently in progress. The Analyst will be required to travel to the Mark Center in Alexandria, Virginia as well as the Group W office located in Dumfries, Virginia.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• U.S. Citizen
• Ability to secure a Secret clearance

Preferred:

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a STEM or policy-related field
• Active Top Secret clearance
• Experience supporting and conducting research focused on defense, technology, and policy-related issues for the U.S. Government

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Research and report writing associated with advanced nuclear reactors and their potential use in the U.S. military
• Engage with members of the nuclear community to identify and obtain studies previously completed or currently in progress
• Work on directed analysis from government customers on a variety of defense-related topics with a primary emphasis on advanced and emerging technology
• Follow research proposals and deliver on customer demands in proposals for directed analysis
• Establish and lead study efforts to conduct interviews and collect and code data from those interviews
• Utilize government computer systems to reach out and communicate with government clients regarding related study equites

Salary: $70,000 to $135,000 (provided as a general guideline only. Compensation dependent upon relevant work experience related to the scope of the position, education, training, and market conditions).
