What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Training Specialist position at GroupA?
Location: Sacramento/Roseville, CA Onsite
Duration: 3 months, with opportunity to extend further based on performance/budget

Job Type: Contract/ 40 hrs week
It's important to note that the candidate will not deliver, build, or design training. They will work closely with the virtual trainer, who will be offsite and provide support (or coaching) to learners attending virtual training at our training center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Delivery & Support: Co-facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions, helping end-users improve their skills with technical applications. Ensure effective learning by adapting to various skill levels and learning styles.
- Support learners as they arrive for virtual training at the site by setting up training computer workstations, environments, logins, zoom virtual classrooms, marking attendance, and cleaning workstations between training sessions.
- Training Material Management: Assist in developing and maintaining training content, including lesson plans, manuals, and self-study modules. Participate in content review and feedback sessions.
- Troubleshoot computer equipment and desktop applications such as Zoom, Google Chrome Browser, Microsoft Edge Browser, etc., and proactively escalate equipment or technology issues with IS and Enterprise Learning and Training.
- Classroom Preparation & Management: Set up training environments, manage attendance, track participation, and ensure smooth classroom operations. Monitor student progress and assist with any challenges.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members, affiliates, and clients to deliver exceptional training experiences. Provide feedback and escalate issues as needed.
- Work independently at the site with remote support from their Lead Trainer, other colleagues via Microsoft Teams at various California sites, and the Leadership Team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and technical application systems.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Experience in facilitating training or presentations, comfortable speaking to diverse groups.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and experience in collaborative team environments.
- Comfortable speaking to large groups of people at various levels, from entry-level to middle management
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Education, Healthcare Management, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
