Key Responsibilities
- Manage and Optimize Systems Infrastructure: Administer both on-premises and cloud environments, including VMware solutions, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Hands-On Support: Provide expert support for key technologies like Active Directory, MS SQL, VMware, DNS, DHCP, and more.
- Design & Implementation: Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex systems and infrastructure, including high-performance storage solutions and server environments.
- Lead Virtualization Projects: Manage and lead VMware-related projects, driving virtualization initiatives to enhance system performance.
- 24/7 On-Call Support: Be part of a collaborative team that provides on-call escalation support for system issues to ensure continuous uptime.
- Collaborative Environment: Work closely with management to determine system needs, ensuring optimal performance across all systems.
- Mentor & Train: Assist in training and developing new Systems Engineers, contributing to the growth of the team.
Requirements
- IT Experience: 7 years of experience with network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.), Windows environments (Active Directory, MS SQL, VMware), and infrastructure management.
- Core Technologies: Extensive experience with Active Directory (Windows 2012-2022), virtualization (VMware), group policies, AD troubleshooting, and backup technologies.
- Problem Solver: Strong ability to troubleshoot complex system errors and optimize infrastructure.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead projects and mentor team members in technical environments.
- Desired Skills: Familiarity with MS SQL, SCCM, SCOM, automated patching, CIFS, and network storage solutions. Experience in managing AD and VMware environments will be highly beneficial.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) experience.
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems such as SCADA, DCS, BAS, and PI Historian.
