In the US, the Groupe operates Rec Boat Holdings, llc, a boat production site for Four Winns and Scarab brands in Cadillac (MI). Due to our business outlook, we're adding an HR Specialist to the team.
About this role :
The HR Specialist is an integral member of the human resources team executing HR activities for our 260 employees in Cadillac, MI, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Marion, SC, and the eastern seaboard. Some of the core components of this role include managing the employee life cycle, disability and leave management, workers compensation administration, multi state HR compliance, and benefits administration. The role, which reports to the HR Manager, is ideal for someone who loves to build relationships and culture, dig into the details, and has strong HR technology knowledge. Those with a broad human resources background in a manufacturing environment are encouraged to apply.
About you :
- As an HR pro (SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred) with 3-5 years of broad-based generalist experience and a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or the like (although work experience may be substituted for these educational requirements), you're the roll-up-your-sleeves kind of a person who is a dependable and goal-oriented self-starter.
- You love managing the full employee life cycle and all the nuances that come with it including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, exit interviews, and offboarding
- You understand compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations in a multi-state environment including ADA, COBRA, ERISA, ESTA, FMLA, FLSA, HIPAA, OSHA, and Title VII, and employ best practices to administer the leave process, short-and long-term disability claims, workers compensation, and unemployment
- You are passionate about positive employee relations and engagement along with elevating the employee experience through employee recognition, events, and wellness initiatives.
- You're a wiz at using HR technology to enhance processes and have experience optimizing HRIS and payroll systems to collect and report on employee data, improve efficiency, and are comfortable occasionally running payroll
