Salary range: $75,000 / yr - $90,000 / yr Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Applicants must be located in or near Burlington, MA. This role requries a mix of in-office and remote work at our Corporate Headquarters.Groups Recover Together is an outpatient addiction medicine provider that delivers comprehensive outpatient treatment for opioid addiction. Based on the principle that recovery is tied to aspects of life that are beyond the reach of an office visit, our care model includes three core modalities that are proven to help individuals get their lives back on track -- medication, weekly group therapy, and care navigation. Responsibilities
The Senior Staff Accountant will serve a key accounting role in the Finance organization, reporting to the Controller.
You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…
- Perform monthly close activities, including preparation of revenue, accounts receivable, capitalized software development, fixed assets, and accrual journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analyses
- Continually develop and implement process improvements to streamline revenue recognition and shorten close timelines
- Assist with annual financial audits, including preparation of supporting schedules and documentation to the external auditors
- Assist Controller in performing technical accounting research and prepare documentation around audit risk areas
- Provide clear and concise flux commentary for both balance sheet and income statement accounts/trends on a monthly basis for assigned accounts
- Help enhance documentation, reconciliation schedules, and analyses that support strong internal control environment
- Support ERP enhancements and system implementations, as needed
- Ability to work well with cross functional teams within finance (FP&A, Operations, Product, etc.) to achieve results efficiently and effectively
- Ad hoc projects and technical accounting research as needed to support the role and function
Qualifications
We’re Excited About You Because…
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting
- Experience working with one or more financial ERP/general ledger systems. Intacct experience is a plus
- Strong technical accounting skills and exposure with U.S. GAAP
- Strong organizational and communication skills required
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Ability to effectively operate in a fast-paced team environment, manage competing priorities, and adhere to tight deadline
What would knock our socks off:
- CPA license or MSA degree
- Prior experience using Intacct
- Prior healthcare accounting experience
- Experience with a Big-4 or equivalent national accounting firm
Other Important Aspects
- While this role is primarily remote, there is a 2-days a week in-person requirement in our Corporate office location of Burlington, MA
- This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
