Counselor Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Counselor to join our team at Groups Recover Together, an outpatient addiction medicine provider. The successful candidate will have a passion for group therapy and a commitment to delivering high-quality clinical care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple 1 hour group therapy sessions to build recovery skills and foster community using our outlined curriculum.
- Document members' progress using outcome measures (Core Milestones) and client feedback (NPS scores).
- Proactively engage in community relations activities, including distributing brochures and written materials promoting Groups and its mission.
- Attend and participate in community meetings related to substance abuse and addiction topics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
- An active Maine behavioral health licensure or certification, including but not limited to: LADC, CADC, CCS, LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.
- Minimum two years of experience leading group therapy in a SUD setting.
- High comfort level with Technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive), mobile apps, etc.
