Seasonal Morning Baker (Early)

We are a small, family owned bakery that has served Bloomington-Normal for 27 years.

We are seeing a morning baker (4:45am to 9am) to help bake and prepare our favorites each morning: Tuesday through Saturday.

This position is part-time (~20-25 hours per week), but there may be additional opportunities during the holidays and busier seasons.

Duties:
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cookies, pastries, cakes, and
- Follow recipes and measurements accurately to ensure consistent quality
- Mix ingredients, knead dough, and shape dough into desired forms
- Monitor baking process and adjust temperatures and baking times as needed
- Decorate and finish baked goods with icing, glazes, and other toppings
- Clean and maintain baking equipment and work area
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules and fulfill customer orders
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of baking supplies

Experience:
- Previous experience as a baker in a restaurant or catering setting preferred
- Knowledge of different baking techniques and methods
- Familiarity with various types of ovens, mixers, and other baking equipment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Creativity in decorating baked goods is a plus
