Job Title: Medical Device Packaging Engineer
Job Location: Memphis, Tennessee (Fully Onsite)
Type: W2 Contract
Must-Have:
Proficiency in CREO drawing software.
Experience in sterile packaging or medical device packaging development.
Strong project management skills, including expertise in MS Project timelines and design history file management (file organization).
High attention to quality, documentation, and reporting.
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
Experience Required: required (preferred: 2 to 7 years of experience).
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with EU MDR Guidelines and identify areas requiring remediation.
Update existing files to align with state-of-the-art expectations.
Design, develop, and test a variety of containers to ensure product protection, display, and handling.
Determine packaging specifications based on product nature, cost constraints, legal requirements, and protection needs, considering factors such as moisture, corrosive chemicals, temperature variations, light, heat, rough handling, and tampering.
Develop package exteriors with consideration for product identification, Operating Room Workflow, aesthetic appeal, printing, and production techniques.
Manage documentation and coordinate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Support prototype line development in manufacturing facilities/plants.
