Job Summary:
As the Human Resources Manager at Grove Transit, you will oversee all HR functions, including payroll, recruitment, employee relations, compliance, training and development, and performance management. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively balance the needs of the company with the well-being of our employees, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Staffing: Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding for all departments within the company.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment, addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting effective communication across all levels of the organization.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, industry regulations, and company policies, including those specific to the transportation and healthcare sectors.
- Training & Development: Develop and implement employee training programs to enhance performance, retention, and professional growth.
- Performance Management: Administer performance review processes, assist with goal setting, and provide guidance on employee development.
- Compensation & Benefits: Assist in managing compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with company objectives.
- Health & Safety: Ensure that company health and safety policies and procedures are followed, especially as they relate to NEMT drivers and staff.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and handle sensitive HR-related data and documentation with confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Preferably 3-5 years of HR experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Experience in the NEMT, healthcare, or transportation industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
