Senior Product Manager - AI/ML

Grow Progress
Washington, DC Full Time
POSTED ON 2/8/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/4/2025

Grow Progress is hiring a Senior Product Manager to help build cutting-edge persuasion technology for social good.

We're looking for an AI / ML focused product leader who wants to help pioneer a new approach to persuasion : giving our customers the power to persuade more people based on how they think - not just how they look.

We are a quickly growing team of more than 50 people who are passionate about giving strategists the tools to persuade more people. We power breakthroughs in persuasion by helping strategists to more deeply understand the people they're aiming to move - not just how they look, but how they think. We then give strategists the ability to scientifically test their messages at a radically accessible cost, so they have the freedom to test more creative strategies.

If you want to make a big social impact and grow your skill set by working with a dedicated team of engineers that are building new products backed by cutting-edge theories and technology in behavioral psychology, we hope you'll apply.

Who We Are

Grow Progress's mission is to make our clients better at persuasion so that they can run more effective campaigns, causes, and companies that make the world a better place. For this, we've built powerful software that offers our customers unprecedented access to run scientific message tests quickly and affordably, so they can unlock the most effective messages. We currently work with many of the biggest Democratic pollsters, marketing agencies, advocacy groups, campaigns and labor unions in the country.

We give our customers the power to persuade more people by tailoring their messages to match each audience member's values. We help customers harness the latest persuasion science to create messaging that's typically 200% to 500% more effective than their existing ads. We do this by predicting which personality traits and values are most important to each individual.

We're a team of experienced campaigners, software engineers, and data scientists who are obsessed with harnessing the power of evidence to make social good advocates more effective. We're motivated, efficient, low-ego, and we like to make each other laugh.

Your Role

You're an AI / ML savvy product person who obsesses about solving user pain points. You are comfortable owning all aspects of the product lifecycle, and you enjoy being a leader among your peers. You might have been a data scientist in a prior life, or just a natural interest in data and AI / ML. Maybe you've even hacked together a project or two. You've had successes and failures, and you've learned from both. You love a good process, but you love learning and iterating on it even more.

What You'll Do :

  • Work to define and drive the product roadmap for AI / ML initiatives, prioritizing features based on stakeholder input, user research, market trends and company goals
  • Traditional PM responsibilities such as sprint planning, managing the product backlog, stakeholder management, and helping to shape our product strategies and vision
  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of AI products through rigorous testing and iteration
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, and design
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear product requirements and actionable tasks

What You'll Bring :

  • 3 years as PM, at least 1 year of experience with AI / ML products
  • You have a high level of comfort and understanding of AI / ML / LLMs
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects involving multiple stakeholders (including engineering, data science, client-facing folks) and competing priorities
  • Comfort with ambiguity and making difficult tradeoffs
  • The ability to communicate insights to anyone, no matter their background
  • Passionate about progressive change
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Bonus skills and experience :

  • Academic familiarity with polling, behavioral psychology, scientific experimentation, and / or political campaigns
  • Technological experience with survey platforms, performance marketing, and / or ad testing
  • A power user of ProductBoard
  • Hiring Process
