Job Title: ABA Behavioral Therapist
Foster growth in communication, social, and adaptive skills for children with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), in their natural environments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver Therapy Sessions: Implement individualized treatment plans designed by Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Teach and Reinforce Skills: Utilize ABA principles to teach and reinforce communication, social, and self-help skills
- Monitor Progress: Collect and record accurate data on client progress
- Collaborate with Families: Communicate effectively with families, offering feedback and guidance
- Collaborate with Team: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and adjust goals
- Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain compliance with HIPAA and California privacy laws in all records and documentation
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience: At least 6 months of experience working with children, ideally in an ABA or developmental disability setting
- Skills and Traits: Strong interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills, patience, empathy, and professionalism in diverse situations
- Additonal Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old, ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs, reliable transportation, Live Scan background check and TB test clearance required before start date
