Grower Direct Farms is a family-owned and operated wholesale greenhouse located in Somers, Connecticut. In business for over 40 years, it has grown into the 34th largest floriculture operation in the country. We are looking for an individual who is personable and detail-oriented.
Job Description Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Accounting Team on a part-time basis (10–15 hours per week). This role offers the opportunity to grow into a full-time, permanent position based on performance and business needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with Accounting Team to keep AP Inbox up to date

Invoice Management and Data Entry:
- Match AP invoices to POs or get approvals
- Verify invoice accuracy, assign coding, and add invoices to accounting software
- Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable statements with vendor statements and follow up with vendors for any missing invoices
- Communication: Respond to vendor inquiries by communicating with internal staff
- Discrepancy Resolution: Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, including issues with purchase orders, contracts, or payments
- Future potential added task – Payment Processing: cut and mail checks

- Availability needs to be Monday - Friday (9 am - 5 pm EST) to support business needs.
- Specific non-consecutive days and flexibility can be discussed during the interview process.
