Official Title: Fulfillment Manager
Job Function: Perform the day-to-day management of the order fulfillment process while effectively communicating with both sales and inventory departments.
Organizational Structure: Reports to Operations Manager
Performance Evaluation: Performance measured by the employee’s execution of the Key Performance Indicators
Essential Duties:
- Manage the order fulfillment process.
- Work with your team and utilize your employees to their full potential.
- Prepare / pre-set all necessary tools and equipment required to complete orders.
- Manage the receiving area day-to-day with inbound deliveries.
- Ensure the deliveries are received by priority.
- Ensure the order fulfillment and receiving process contributes to meeting this company’s strategic objectives as listed below:
- Product Excellence / Growth / Profitability
- Coordinate with leadership, peers, and sales and inventory departments to maintain daily operational flow.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Utilize equipment effectively to execute order fulfillment tasks successfully.
- Identify the priorities each day to achieve successful goals.
- Work with the plastic storage area and receiving area to ensure proper flow of received materials.
- Collaborate with production leadership and Operations Manager to utilize the labor effectively.
- Communicate your plan for successful completion each week to the manager.
- Communicate any mechanical or equipment problems to the Operations Manager.
- Work with Transportation Manager and Inventory team to ensure orders are pulled adequately and accurately.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
- Labor Utilization
- Ensure employees are picking orders accurately by effective communication with inventory and sales teams as well as the Operations Manager.
- Capture (Spot Check / Update carts per person per hour) CPPPH formula to ensure that each picking team is performing adequately and timely and report the result to the Operations Manager via email each time.
- Process Execution
- Ensure forklifts and electric tuggers are charged / fueled / washed and ready and report via daily operations checklist.
- Collaborate with Leadership team regarding the order-picking plan for the week -process will be executed through daily team meetings.
- Coordinate with Inventory / Shipping / Sales teams to ensure the order fulfillment plan is being executed in accordance with current needs of each department.
- Efficiency of Receiving
- Prioritize incoming received goods in conjunction with office manager and the forklift operator.
- Be aware, establish a plan and act on any returned product from customers.
- Identify the reason for return – create a plan of action.
- Reuse or recycle depending on reason for return.
- Report to Operations Manager for root cause analysis.
- Organization of the receiving area – ensure the receiving dock and storage area are kept free and clear of debris or buildup to ensure a smooth receiving process. This process will involve clear communication with the Facilities Manager and Operations Manager to monitor and control.
