Position Summary
The Crew Lead is responsible for organizing labor in conjunction with other Leads and Growers. Additionally, the Crew Lead is responsible for supporting with day-to-day labor needs, work assignments and other duties as requested by the department manager.
Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
- Coordinate all labor activities for general labor to meet daily production orders.
- Responsible coordinating and communicating daily work-schedule, including break and shift changes for all employees.
- Liaison between department manager and general labor to ensure responsibilities are being met.
- Work responsibly and safely always. Report any quality issues directly to department manager.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Experience)
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 year’s experience working in Agricultural/ Horticultural fields.
- Good Communication Skills, written and oral.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Must be a self-starter and possess initiative.
- Must be able to learn new assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to communicate with employees and management.
Physical Requirements
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include close distance and color vision.
