Job Summary
The Forklift Driver is responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Growing and Seed line Departments with any freight operation needs.
Essential Responsibilities
- Ensure that Forklift(s) are inspected and in good condition prior to operating these.
- Coordinate deliveries with supervisor to ensure that material such as but not limited to : trays, pots and soil ingredients, are delivered on time.
- Provide / Request Documentation for ALL loads.
- Steam all trays and ensure that adequate temperatures are being used for each specific tray size.
- Responsible for moving all seeded trays and separating these accordingly with order requests and instructions from Seed line department.
- Unload trucks and take the necessary precautions to ensure this job is done accurately and safely (i.e. ensure truck is not moving).
- Support Forklift needs at Greenhouse.
- Work responsibly and safely at all times. Report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
- Performs all duties in accordance with environmental, food safety, safety rules and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform infrequent / long periods of standing, stooping, bending, walking, grasping, climbing, pulling, pushing and carrying of objects up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include lose, distance and color vision.
