Position Summary
Working as a team, the Seed Line Operator’s primary role is to assist with supporting the Seedline Supervisor in ensuring that the trays are being built to customer specifications.
Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
- Ensure that the start off shift checklist is completed.
- Ensuring that when changes are made on the line that the output is in line with customer specifications.
- Feed empty trays onto the Seedline.
- Stack seeded trays onto pallets in a safe, orderly, and efficient way.
- Placing bulk seeds into line hopper.
- Check all equipment is in good conditions before using them.
- Assist Operator to assure the correct calibration.
- Work responsibly, safely, and efficiently; follow set standards.
- Report unsafe or hazardous conditions to the Operator and / or Supervisor.
- Work as a Heavy Labor worker on greenhouse activities when required.
- Ensure that the end of shift checklist is completed.
- Performs all duties in accordance with environmental, food safety, safety rules and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to visually diagnose minor mechanical issues.
Ability to read service and repair manuals.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in a group setting.
Bilingual English / Spanish preferred.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two years of related experience preferred.
Must be flexible with work schedule.
Physical Requirements
Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to physically perform repairs.
Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
Good vision to inspect repair work.
Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
