Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our team at Growing Generations Childcare Center in Plymouth. In this role, you will support lead teachers in delivering high-quality educational experiences for young children. Your contributions will be essential in fostering a nurturing environment that promotes child learning and development.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
- Support classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Engage with children in a positive manner to promote learning and development.
- Help prepare classroom materials and resources for daily activities.
- Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to lead teachers.
- Create a welcoming environment for children and families.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
- Familiarity with lesson planning and early literacy education is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

Pay: $13.83 - $14.91 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 38 per week
