Job Description:
All employees are expected to provide a warm and nurturing environment while making learning a fun and interactive experience.
Assistant Teacher Position:
- Some/few college credits, CDA, credits in early childhood education, or a closely related field
- Has previous experience working with young children
- Takes pride in the development and implementation of an age appropriate curriculum
- Is self-motivated, creative, reliable, kind, and nurturing
- Communicates with skill to children, parents, and coworkers
- Maintain and run a classroom that is made to inspire learning through play as well as integrate developmentally appropriate classroom activities
- Inspire lifelong learners while maintaining a fun and interactive classroom
- A Flexible to the hours and schedule of work, must be willing to work any time between 6:00am-6:00pm
- Willing to learn about state accreditation requirements for the center and continue to follow and maintain licensing requirements
Qualifications:
-Must pass the applicant background study required by the Department of Human Services
-Must have documentation of U.S. Citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
-Must meet the qualifications of a lead teacher as defined under the department of Human Services Rule 3 requirements (qualifying college credits required and previous experience preferred) as well as meeting state requirements for accreditations
-Must have the physical abilities to perform the following job duties
- Must be able to lift or carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to speak and be understand under normal conditions
- Must be able to see and read newsprint with or without corrective lenses
