We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in providing support to individuals navigating their recovery journey in the behavioral health field. Duties
- Provide one-on-one support to individuals facing mental health and addiction challenges, utilizing personal recovery experiences to inspire hope.
- Facilitate group sessions focused on skill-building, coping strategies, and recovery planning.
- Assist clients in identifying their strengths and developing personalized recovery plans.
- Engage in crisis management and intervention as needed, ensuring safety and stability for clients.
- Collaborate with mental health professionals to coordinate care and resources for clients.
- Mentor individuals through the recovery process, offering guidance and encouragement.
- Conduct outreach activities to connect with individuals in need of support within the community.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in accordance with agency policies.
Requirements
- Certification as a Peer Specialist or equivalent experience in the behavioral health field.
- Strong understanding of mental health systems, addiction counseling, and recovery principles.
- Experience in crisis management and intervention techniques.
- Proficient in motivational interviewing and mentoring practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Knowledge of social work principles is a plus but not required.

Pay: $12.00 - $22.00 per hour
