Float Teacher Full-time

We assist teachers in implementing our research-based curriculum in a way that meets each child's needs. Preschool teachers support the learning, development, and health of young children. Their responsibilities include:

• Planning- Create daily activity plans that align with the school curriculum and focus on different areas of child development
• Teaching- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that are educational and fun, such as reading stories, playing, using art, and going on field trips
• Managing- Maintain a clean and safe classroom, manage classroom activities like lessons, breaks, meals, and play, and enforce rules of behavior
• Supporting- Help children reach developmental milestones, learn basic skills like identifying colors and shapes, and build their sense of identity and belonging
• Communicating- Develop positive relationships with children and parents, and communicate with parents about their child's progress and development 

The following skills and qualifications include but not limited to:

• One year of relevant childcare experience
• Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment
• Ensures the safety of the children entrusted in care
• Submit to a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB testing upon hire
• Organizes, designs and leads activities to promote physical, mental, and social development.
• Participates in continued professional development for childcare workers
• Maintains all state requirements for childcare workers
• Physical requirements the ability to lift children (35 lbs) and standing for prolong periods

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday - no weekends or late evenings

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required) or currently enrolled in a school internship program.
