We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network and Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess a superb technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, superior communication skills (verbal and written) for C-suite executives and business leadership, enhanced time management skills, and a passion for maintaining and optimizing network systems. Core Responsibilities :
Network Management : Design, implement, and manage complex Servers, virtual machines, domain controllers, network infrastructure for various clients including data storage, backup, and disaster recovery protocols.System Administration : Regular oversight on the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems - exceptional knowledge of Windows 10 / 11, MacOS including desktops, Servers - WS Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and applications - Office 365, Azure, MS Entra ID, and Active Directory.Security : Implement best practices for network and systems security, including working knowledge of Cloud services, firewalls, Hyper-V, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Client Support : Provide technical support, including escalated tickets from Tier 1 and 2 teams, guidance to clients, ensuring prompt resolution of issues, including some break / fix issues, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.Lead Projects : Lead technical projects including infrastructure upgrades, migrations, new client onboarding, and software implementation.Documentation : Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, system setups, and troubleshooting procedures on each customer.Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies and recommend improvements to enhance service delivery.Utilize Tools : Utilize PSA software to document, track, schedule, and escalate ticket requests and RMM tools.Mentorship : Mentor or coach Tier 1 / 2 as needed.Collaboration : Work directly with ownership on technology strategies.Minimum Qualifications and Skills :
Proven experience as a Network and Systems Engineer or similar role.Strong working knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.Relevant experience with network security practices and tools.Proficiency in system administration, including Windows and Linux operating systems.Proficiency with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Superior communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently with strong time management skills and operate as part of a team.Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator) are a plus.Min 2 years, preferably 4-year Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science and Engineering (or equivalent experience).What We Offer :
