- Supervise children at all times.
- Provide a safe environment by following all health and safety guidelines.
- Assist in facilitating lesson plans and activities working with children in small groups.
- Assist children with bathroom needs to include potty training as needed and change diapers following all diaper changing procedures.
- Accurately document daily eating, diapering and naps.
- Treat all children with dignity and respect, speaking to them one on one in a calm manner.
- Be sensitive to children’s feelings and responsive to their needs. Provide a nurturing, caring environment.
- Model good social skills to help children develop appropriate social behavior.
- Communicate professionally with parents, supervisors, and co-workers.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED, be able to pass a drug screen, and have a clean criminal background.
