Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Estimator, who will take on all aspects of assembling bids from takeoff to award. On our team, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Receive ITBs from contractors & clients.
• Manage the Bid Board to track due dates and bid status.
• Collaborate with company leadership about bid strategy and priorities.
• Keep estimating software up to date with the most current material pricing and labor units.
• Perform your own takeoffs and assemble your own bids, ideally through Accubid or similar estimating software.
• Solicit vendor quotes for packages such as lighting, switchgear, fire alarm, etc.
• Type up and send out proposals to contractors & clients that include a detailed scope of work and any project-specific notes or qualifications.
• Build relationships with clients to sell our services and receive feedback on bid proposals.
• Manage shared drive in order to keep project files organized.
• Upon award of project, buy out vendor packages and issue purchase orders.
• Create schedule of values for billing / AIA.
• Provide unit quantities and counts for DOB permit.
• Conduct kick-off meeting with project management team to lead to smooth execution of project.
• Assemble all change order proposals and manage/maintain the project's change order log.

Qualifications

• 4 years of Electrical Estimating experience, ideally in NYC commercial and/or high-end residential projects.
• Knowledge of estimation formulas/methods, assemblies, labor units, and electrical engineering principles.
• Proficient in relevant estimating software (Accubid or a comparable system), Microsoft Excel, and general math skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
• Excels working independently, dedicated, growth-oriented, and extraordinary attention to detail.
