Illini FS is headquartered in Urbana, Illinois with branches in five eastern Illinois counties. Illini FS has about 200 employees and approximately 6,000 customers. The cooperative does business in agronomy, energy, tires, and retail. Illini FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Assists in the daily operational duties of the energy department including the maintenance of energy inventory and equipment, energy service work and energy deliveries as needed. Provides customer service in a timely manner to increase satisfaction, maintain the reputation and profitability of the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provides service work for propane, liquid fuels, and lubricants.
Performs leak checks and occasional painting of tanks.
Delivers propane and liquid fuels to customers as needed.
Maintains records of all regulators, including dates of manufacture and changes out as necessary
Maintains a record of all company owned tanks and equipment.
Pickup and deliver propane and fuel tanks throughout the delivery areas
Performs tank set up and delivery for all segments of the Energy Department
Provide coverage for the Energy/Propane Sales and Delivery Specialists as needed
Performs repairs and maintenance of equipment as needed
Maintains an appropriate inventory of parts on service truck necessary for minor repairs and maintenance
Responsible for keeping company assets clean, neat and organized, maintaining a professional image
Helps meet company goals by improving efficiency and reducing costs through collaboration efforts
Provides customer service in a timely and accurate manner to increase customer satisfaction, maintain the reputation and profitability of the organization
Works with Energy Operations Manager on all safety and compliance issues
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Attends GROWMARK product training events as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and organizational skills and basic mechanic skills.
Required skills include minor equipment service/maintenance/adjustments (both Fuel and Propane), inventory control, collaboration, communication, customer focus and skill development
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Ability to obtain a Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsements
Ability to achieve and maintain Certified Employee Training Program (CETP) certification for the Propane duties
Ability to learn GROWMARK software programs.
