An industry leader in the Diamond and Jewelry Industry for over 30 years..... is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Loose Diamond Inventory Specialist to manage and oversee the inventory of loose diamonds within our company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of diamond grading, quality control, and stock management. As an experienced member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate inventory counts, organizing the storage of diamonds, and maintaining the integrity of our stock.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Accurately track, log, and maintain the inventory of loose diamonds, ensuring all stones are properly labeled, categorized, and accounted for at all times.
- Perform regular inventory audits and cycle counts to verify stock levels and prevent discrepancies.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize loss, damage, or misplacement of diamonds.
- Diamond Grading & Quality Control:
- Conduct quality assessments and provide detailed grading for diamonds
- Ensure all diamonds meet the company’s standards and industry guidelines.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to inspect new diamond shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Storage & Organization:
- Safeguard the storage area and ensure loose diamonds are stored securely in compliance with company policies and best practices.
- Organize diamonds by cut, carat, clarity, color, and other relevant specifications to ensure easy access and quick retrieval.
- Record Keeping & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including incoming shipments, sales, and returns.
- Generate regular reports on diamond inventory levels, trends, and discrepancies for management review.
- Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure orders are filled correctly and on time.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Liaise with the procurement and sales departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and stock updates.
- Assist in training new team members on inventory procedures and diamond grading standards.
- Maintain clear communication with management regarding inventory needs, issues, and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with loose diamond inventory management or in a related role within the jewelry industry.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in gemology (GIA, AGS, or similar) preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of diamond grading and quality control processes.
- Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
