Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a SBA Portfolio Manager at Growth Capital Corp. The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing a $150MM portfolio of SBA 504 and 7a loans, analyzing financial data, Risk Rating loans, underwriting SBA 504 Subordinations and Assumptions. Loan payment collections, liquidations and litigations and discovering new loan opportunities with portfolio borrowers. The role involves working closely with small business owners and lenders to ensure successful financial outcomes and compliance with SBA regulations.
- Responsible for performance of Growth Capital loan portfolio performance within SBA and regulatory benchmarks
- Establishes loan grading system in compliance with SBA directives for entire portfolio to ensure credit quality
- Completes financial analysis of outstanding portfolio
- Monitors past due loans and works with customers to limit delinquencies, collects delinquent accounts and proposes collection and catch up strategies for individual borrowers and provides input into overall Growth Capital loan servicing and collections policies and procedures
- Manages loan liquidation procedures on all problem loans and works in conjunction with SBA and legal counsel to adhere to agency liquidation requirements
- Recommends technical assistance to borrowers as appropriate
- Insures compliance with loan covenants
- Prepares and presents delinquency and aging reports provides updates to Executive Director and Servicing Committee
Qualifications
- Analytical Skills, Finance, and Portfolio Management skills
- Experience with Credit Risk Underwriting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze financial statements
- Knowledge of SBA lending regulations and procedures helpful but NOT required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
