Pipelayer (Wet Utilities) What You Will Do

Pipelayer (Wet Utilities) You Must Have (Requirements):
You Have:
Your compensation is based on your skills, experience and hands on capabilities, and ranges from $22 to $38 per hour plus potential for overtime for all hours over 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week (some overtime is anticipated). Plus annual incentive compensation potential.
We evaluate compensation for merit increases MONTHLY.

Pipelayer (Wet Utilities) What You Will Do
You will work on-site at large commercial underground projects.
- Install various types of pipe, including sewer, storm drain, fire, and water pipes.
- Lay out and install services, fire hydrants, and pipe connections according to standard drawings
- Weld and solder copper piping as needed
- Cut and bevel pipe to specific dimensions
- Read and interpret survey grade stakes and blueprints
- Calculate and set up grade using Flo liners and laser levels
- Operate heavy equipment, such as excavators, backhoes, and loaders
- Install shoring in accordance with OSHA safety regulations
Pipelayer (Wet Utilities) You Must Have (Requirements):
You Have:
- Knowledge and ability to install all types of sewer pipe, storm drain pipe and fire and water pipe (underground wet utilities)
- Able to lay out and install services, fire hydrants, pipe connections
- Able to weld and solder copper piping, cut and bevel pipe
- Prior experience reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans
- Reliable transportation for travel to and from the jobsites and clean driving record
- Expectation of working outdoors underground is dirty! Can be hot in the summer!
