Job Responsibilities
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for the shipping and receiving of Groz-Beckert products from our Dalton, GA sales office/warehouse and will conduct all activities associated with the warehouse function to include:
- Resolving issues with deliveries and invoices and customer service inquiries
- Pulling and packing orders for shipping
- Delivering Groz-Beckert products to local customers
- Processing orders via UPS (Worldship), FedEx (Ship Café), DHL (Internet)
- Stocking incoming inventory
- Processing customer returns
- Conducting cycle counts
- General housekeeping of the warehouse facility
- Processing inventory related transactions in SAP
- Performing other duties and projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to communicate in English, via email, in person and telephone, professionally and effectively, both internally and externally with freight forwarders, customers, customer service and sales
- Experience with computer data entry. Experience with SAP or similar ERP system preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft, in particular Outlook and Excel.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and ability to operate delivery van to deliver product to customers
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds

Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years or more experience in warehousing/logistics
- Experience with all duties of warehouse clerk: pulling, packing, processing orders and shipments, stocking, processing customer returns, conducting cycle counts, general housekeeping.
Work Environment
This position works in an indoor office/warehouse setting, consisting of warehousing equipment and powered industrial trucks (forklifts). Position will also be exposed to receiving areas of local textile manufacturing facilities.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, this employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel and reach. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch. This employee must regularly lift and move objects up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and move objects up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift and move objects, with assistance, up to 70 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
