SUMMARY
Gas station managers oversee the daily operations of service station/bus wash and act as leaders for the station and bus wash employees and the assistant managers who work under them. Gas station managers also set employee schedules, manage fuel/inventory shipments, hire/train/fire employees, create the station’s budget and coordinate with the station’s owner/corporate management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Trains employees, schedules job assignments and monitor’s work.
- Monitors workflow, investigating reasons for delays and taking appropriate steps to expedite the process.
- Checks and corrects fuel data sheets from employees.
- Checks and approves time records.
- Prepare daily work assignments.
- Administers company and departmental policies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Director staff of General Utility Personnel.

Education and/or Experience
- High school education and/or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Experience supervising GU’s and/or service employees, preferably in a mass transit setting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to work with computerized maintenance software systems required.
- Valid Virginia CDL required. Must have managerial experience (gas station management experience preferred)
