Under new ownership, Grubbs GMC/Cadillac is seeking an experienced Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager to join our team. The F&I Manager will be responsible for coordinating all finance and insurance-related activities, including helping customers secure financing, preparing necessary documentation, and offering extended service contracts and additional protection products. This role requires a focus on customer satisfaction while ensuring all transactions comply with dealership policies, and state, and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Financing & Insurance: Offer vehicle financing and insurance options to customers, explaining aftermarket products, extended warranties, and dealership service procedures clearly and thoroughly.
- Documentation Preparation: Prepare and process all necessary state and federal documents related to vehicle purchases in compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Lender Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with lending institutions to ensure access to competitive financing programs and interest rates.
- Sales Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales team to ensure smooth handoffs of sales to the F&I department, providing them with up-to-date information on financing, leasing options, and the benefits of dealership products.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with applicable state, federal, and local laws, including regulations governing financing and insurance.
- Customer Experience: Enhance the customer experience by providing exceptional service, addressing questions, and helping clients navigate their financing options efficiently.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support dealership operations.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma required; a college degree in Finance or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in finance and insurance or a related field, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation skills and business acumen.
- Confident and outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service focus with the ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines.
- Strong math, computer, and internet skills (including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite).
