Job Details
We are seeking a high-energy, dependable Automotive Service Porter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates exceptional customer service, and is comfortable maneuvering vehicles of all types. This role supports our service department by ensuring vehicles are efficiently moved, cleaned, and properly prepared for service or return to the customer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport vehicles to and from service areas, parking lots, and delivery spots
- Apply protective coverings (seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, etc.) and tags to vehicles upon arrival
- Wash, vacuum, and clean vehicles as needed
- Maintain the dealership’s lot appearance by clearing debris, snow, and cleaning sidewalks and driveways
- Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the facility, including windows, doors, and floors
- Attend all scheduled staff meetings, training, and educational classes
- Ensure all required documentation is accurately completed and compliant with dealership and industry standards
- Adhere to all safety, security, and operational procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to maneuver vehicles safely in tight spaces
- Previous porter or related automotive experience preferred
