Sr Manager of Product Management

Grubhub’s product team is looking for a Sr Manager of Product Management to drive world-class products that enable our team mission to deliver a diverse range of goods and create a best in-class experience. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the product roadmap and execution for a broad spectrum of initiatives for our delivery partners. You will have direct responsibility for the oversight and thought leadership of multiple Product Managers and teams within the Grubhub organization. You will collaborate across the organization with senior leadership and critical business stakeholders, and be responsible for the evolution and optimization of Grubhub’s core delivery experience.

The key areas of focus for this role will be enhancing the experience for our delivery partners, which will involve managing complex products and the entire driver app in order to acquire, engage, and retain our delivery partners. This will require working with end-to-end teams across the entire Grubhub organization to bring meaningful change to the fulfillment network. This role will report directly to a Director of Product.

The Impact You Will Make

• Help lead and set the company’s strategic direction, defining and articulating new opportunities, and working in tandem with executive leadership, Grubhub’s technology team and various business teams, to articulate specific goals
• Create the vision and articulate the short and long term product strategy for our Driver Experience, ensuring alignment with the overall product roadmap for the larger Grubhub organization
• Be responsible for the leadership development of the next product leaders and product managers within the organization
• Identify future needs or gaps in knowledge and/or experience and addresses them via talent strategy
• Raise the bar continuously for team members and create opportunities for growth and development through delegation or stretch assignments
• Communicates clearly and effectively across their organization, adjusting their approach to fit the audience
• Establishes and achieves goals, milestones, and timelines to launch products that advance organizational priorities
• Cultivates high-quality decision making across their team(s) based on the right combination of data, intuition, and business guidance

What You Bring to the Table

• 8 years of experience with strong technical or product expertise including the ability to manage multiple Product teams
• Min of 4 years people management experience
• BA/BS required (focus on computer science or mathematics preferred); MBA is a plus
• Instills product development life cycle (PDLC) principles across team while providing oversight to ensure that teams are running efficiently
• Deeply understands all of the systems and products in their domain and how they interact with adjacent systems and products
• Direct experience with large scale ecommerce platforms, A/B testing, native mobile application environments, and data analytics
• Strong ability to collaborate with C-level executives across broad organizations including technology, marketing, sales, operations, and finance
• Proven experience launching new products that are complex and involve the use of algorithms to deliver a great customer experience
• Familiarity and comfort with data, including the ability to use data to analyze and monitor product health
• Demonstrated experience working across the technology teams from UX, through to data science and backend teams
• Experience managing or providing guidance to onsite and/or virtual teams
• Superior communication skills, including the ability to crystallize and broadly socialize insights into stakeholder needs that the stakeholders themselves may not be able to articulate
• Ability to weigh competing priorities, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with stakeholders, driving to consensus while maintaining a clear focus on overarching business priorities

The base salary range for this position is below:

Illinois: $172,000 - $215,000

Grubhub uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
