Logistics Operator

Grundfos is seeking a Logistics Operator. The Logistics Operator will be responsible for various logistics functions including receiving, shipping, warehousing and logistics for material needed for production and finished good shipments. This position works cross functionally to ensure operational excellence in achieving performance goals with a focus on cost control, adherence to Regulatory Compliance, and Group Standards. This position reports directly to the APU Supervisor and will operate daily out of the Aurora, IL facility.

Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Your main responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate prompt physical and systematic receipt of inbound goods, including assurance of packing list and PO match and working with buyers to resolve variances.
• Perform material put away and ensuring inventory transactional integrity through accurate transactions.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
• Maintain the warehouse activity monitor to ensure transactional integrity and inventory accuracy.
• Perform all aspects of shipping including document creation, pick and pack supporting outbound shipments and ensuring compliance to Wis to mitigate damage in transit.
• Work with leadership to resolve resource concerns to support workload in receiving, shipping, picking, put away and crating.
• Ensure adherence to local billing practices and implement process controls for timely and accurate billing while ensuring compliance to local laws and practices.
• Participate and collaborate in the objectives, programs and procedures of health, safety and environment, in addition to the activities that carried out to comply.

Your background:

We imagine that you have:

• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but experience in Logistics will be considered in lieu.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of shipping, receiving and warehousing experience.
• Knowledge of INCOTERMS 2010, export shipping and knowledge of SAP are highly preferred.
• Advance knowledge in office and windows management.
• Must be able to drive a forklift or reach truck and be able to operate overhead and jib cranes.
• Fluent proficiency in English is required.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required for working efficiently and effectively with peers, subordinates, suppliers, client logistics departments and others.
