Reports To : Transportation Director
Job Goal : To provide safe and efficient transportation of students
Work Year : 176 student attendance days
Work Hours : Morning and afternoon
Salary : $51.15 per route
Benefits : IMRF provided and 10 sick days / 1.5 personal days
Performance Responsibilities :
- Maintains assigned schedule
- Transports only authorized students
- Discharges students only at authorized stops
- Maintains discipline when students are on bus
- Obeys all traffic laws
- Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses
- Notifies the proper authority in case of equipment failure
- Keeps assigned bus clean and fueled
- Reports all accidents and complete required reports
- Follows all department procedures and policies outlined in handbook
Qualifications or Requirements :
Must possess valid Illinois Driver's License with CDL endorsement and Illinois school bus permit & pass criminal background check.
