Lavatory Service Agent to join our ground handling team. The Lavatory Service Driver is responsible for safely operating specialized service vehicles to provide lavatory servicing for commercial aircraft. This role requires adherence to strict safety and sanitation guidelines while working in a fast-paced airport environment.
Job Overview
- Operate lavatory service trucks to provide waste disposal and replenishment of aircraft lavatory systems.
- Perform lavatory servicing following airline and company procedures, including draining, flushing, and refilling aircraft lavatory tanks with required chemicals and water.
- Ensure safety and sanitation by using protective gear and handling waste materials according to airport regulations and environmental standards.
- Communicate with ramp teams and flight crews to coordinate servicing schedules and ensure timely aircraft turnarounds.
- Inspect equipment and vehicles daily to ensure they are in safe and operable condition, reporting any issues to maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including waste disposal logs and vehicle inspection reports.
- Follow all safety regulations set by the FAA, TSA, and airport authorities while operating in restricted airport areas.
- Assist with other ramp services as needed, including baggage handling or aircraft pushback, based on operational needs.
- Carry out other duties as assigned
- Must possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- 1 year cleaning, janitorial, aviation, or relevant work experience
- Ability to speak and understand English
- Willing to work in a time-sensitive and fast-paced environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge (requires background check and fingerprinting).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, squat, and work in outdoor weather conditions (rain, snow, extreme heat/cold).
- Prior experience in airport ground handling, sanitation services, or commercial driving is a plus.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with strict safety guidelines.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and night shifts based on flight operations.
