JOB OVERVIEW
Security Agents will be responsible for patrolling and guarding the AA Hangar Area. They will have to perform screening tasks such as making sure the correct personnel are leaving and entering the appropriate areas.

JOB OVERVIEW
Security Agents will be responsible for patrolling and guarding the AA Hangar Area. They will have to perform screening tasks such as making sure the correct personnel are leaving and entering the appropriate areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
- All security officers will perform checkpoint screening functions such as: Using the Walk Through or Hand Held Metal Detectors, using X-Ray scanners.
- Must challenge all MDAD Badge holders
- Issue temporary parking permits
- Examine credentials and verify information of those entering through the checkpoint.
- Patrol exterior and interior of the Hangar Building
- Patrol American Airlines aircraft under maintenance in technical operations areas.
- Must be able to comply with company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
- All security officers must pass the American Airlines MIA Aircraft Maintenance Checkpoint Screener Training.
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, LICENSE, and/or CERTIFICATION
- Must possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have Security D License issued by the State of Florida
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Must be U.S Citizen
- 1 year Security Experience
- Must be able to fluently speak, read, and write in English. Bilingual is a plus
- Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment.
- The ability to work and communicate with all levels of Operations and management.
- Must pass a criminal background check as well as a drug screen prior to employment
- Must have schedule flexibility for the weekend, holiday, and night shifts
- Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods of time
- Should possess a work style and conduct that is approachable and hospitable, while motivated to achieve results.
