The Terminal Coordinator oversees daily operations, acts as the liaison between staff, management, and business partners, and works closely with their team to maximize customer/client satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
- Manage activities in the airport operation of Wheelchair agents (All Support staff)
- Conduct daily debriefing with team members to ensure productivity and compliance
- Lead airport team to perform their work in a safe, efficient manner and in compliance with Federal, state, and local regulations including DOT, ADA, ACAA, FAA, and other government agencies as well as American Airlines and OALS policies and procedures
- Promote an environment of mutual respect and trust between team members
- Coach and mentor team members in skill development, exceeding customer experience and company culture behaviors, policies and procedures
- Establish and promote effective relationships with an external and internal customer base that fosters integrity, respect, and dignity
- Communicate with management regarding operations and personnel
- Complete and submit Daily Tour Report on the operation
- Assist with completion of Incident Reports for issue, incident, injury of any customer or team member
- Ability to work extra hours when there are operational needs
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days-off
- Other duty may be assigned
EDUCATION, LICENSE, and/or CERTIFICATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 years or more leading/supervising Airport operation
- Previous Support Service Airline experience is preferred
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Bilingual is preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a teamwork environment and delegate tasks
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Excellent skills with computers including Excel
- Ability to think strategically and have motivational skills to lead a team.
- Confidence, patience, and politeness, when dealing with difficult situations.
- Communication skills that allow you to inform, help, and advise customers clearly and effectively.
- Must be professional appearance and adhere to company grooming/uniform policy
- Requires flexibility to work additional hours beyond the regular shift, on short notice, and as needed during irregular operations.
