Experienced Machinist needed in the Akron, OH area. You must have radial drill press experience. You will be responsible for: operating a variety of cutting, drilling machines such as lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, to produce or modify various mild steel, titanium, parts. Responsibilities will include interpreting blueprints, setting up and operating machines; like saws, lathes and tri tool pipe cutting equipment. You will be responsible for adjusting machines: monitor machine speed and feed and adjust as needed. You will also be responsible for making parts: turn, mill, drill, shape, and grind parts as well as ensure quality, verify that parts meet specifications. Measure machined pieces using precision indicating equipment such as standard and digital mics and calipers to ensure accuracy of the part against blueprints. You may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background screen.
Pay rate: up to $28/hr
Duration: 5 months
Per diem: $120/day
57 hours/week
