Position Summary
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in driving the success of an engagement with a leading global engineering firm which is looking to implement a distributed data management solution. You will work closely with internal and external Technical Architects, Engineers, Business Stakeholders, and IT Leaders to capture requirements, design solutions, manage project execution, and ensure seamless adoption of the data management solution.
You will be responsible for end-to-end business analysis, technical documentation, stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and enablement training. Given the nature of the project, strong technical acumen and familiarity with Data Lakes, API integration, Cloud Platforms (Azure), and BI tools are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Work with business leaders across ESG, Finance, Digital, and IT to gather and define requirements for the data initiative.
- Document and analyze structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data flows across business units.
- Identify data ingestion, integration, and governance requirements, ensuring alignment with security standards (ISO 27001, compliance protocols).
- Collaborate with Technical Architects to translate business needs into technical specifications, data models, and workflows.
- Create process flow diagrams, data mapping documents, and system interface specifications.
Project Management & Execution
- Own project task tracking, milestone planning, and risk management, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Manage cross-functional coordination between and within internal and external team (Gruve technical and business, client technical and business, between Gruve and client)
- Drive Agile/Scrum project execution, managing sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Identify blockers and proactively collaborate with technical teams to resolve them.
- Support executive reporting by developing status updates, dashboards, and key metrics.
Technical Documentation & Solution Design
- Translate distilled requirements from multiple sources into a consolidated PRD.
- Create stories, tasks and defects as needed.
- Work with the Technical Architect to develop detailed technical documentation, including architecture blueprints, API specifications, and ETL workflows.
- Document data management, API integrations, data pipelines, and transformation logic.
- Define best practices for automation, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Ensure proper documentation of security, compliance, and access controls.
- Define management framework.
Enablement & Training
- Develop training materials, user guides, and technical documentation for business teams and IT stakeholders.
- Conduct workshops, hands-on training sessions, and onboarding for data users.
- Act as a change management advocate, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Provide post-implementation support to business units and technical teams.
