Job Overview
Gryphon Environmental, Inc is an established leader in advanced thermal drying technology and we are looking to expand our team. Gryphon Environmental’s equipment has been installed throughout the United States and serves a variety of industries including municipalities, waste water treatment, and agriculture. Our flagship location in Owensboro, Kentucky is seeking to add a talented General Accountant to our team. The purpose of this role is to assist in the production of dryer systems by tracking cash flow, job costs, and other financial information needed for the efficient manufacturing of high performance drying systems.
Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain long and short term cash flow statements
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Create budgets and estimates for production projects and track actual material and labor costs for accuracy against the budget
- Maintain a schedule of real and estimated production costs for management and sales teams
- Assist in contract review for proper pricing and proposal creation
- Track and approve invoices and assist in prioritizing payments and invoicing
- Track open purchase orders and job completion percentages
- Approve expense reports
- Assist with vendor setup and management
- Assist with business taxes and balancing
- Other accounting, finance, and operational roles as assigned
Skills
- 4 year degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience as a buyer or purchasing specialist from a similar industry or manufacturing company and/or working knowledge of procurement and purchasing in manufacturing
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, professional demeanor, analytical, communication (written and verbal), and problem solving skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-faced manufacturing environment
- Experience with Computer Ease accounting software or equivalent
- Ability to work locally in Owensboro, Kentucky
