Sales Director of BAS & Controls - New Construction & Installations - St. Louis, MO

As the Sales Director for Building Automation, you will be a key leader, driving revenue growth within the Building Automation sector. You will be responsible for achieving the annual sales plan for all building automation projects and services, while managing and developing a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the sales and wider team to achieve and exceed annual sales targets within the Building Automation market.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market share in both new and existing Building Automation projects.
  • Accurately forecast and track sales performance, leveraging Salesforce for data analysis and reporting.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of outside sales representatives specializing in Building Automation solutions.
  • Implement standardized sales onboarding and ongoing training programs with a focus on Building Automation technologies and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a high-performing sales culture that emphasizes collaboration and continuous improvement within the Building Automation sector.
  • Develop and execute regional-level competitive sales strategies specifically for the Building Automation market.
  • Leverage industry knowledge, market trends, and available resources to drive sales growth within the Building Automation sector.
  • Represent the company brand and culture in all interactions within the Building Automation industry.
  • Ensure the sales team is adequately staffed and equipped to meet business objectives within the Building Automation market.
  • Collaborate with local leadership to optimize sales processes and improve operational efficiency within the Building Automation sector.
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the Building Automation industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Building Automation technologies, systems, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Passion for coaching and developing high-performing teams specializing in Building Automation solutions.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • 10 years of experience in sales and marketing of building automation and controls goods and services, demonstrating a strong understanding of effective strategies and tactics.
  • 5 years of proven success in leading, coaching, and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • 5 years of in-depth knowledge of engineering and technology, including principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment.
