Senior Instrumentation Engineer - Refinery and Chemical Plants - Houston, TX
We are seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to support the design and integration of Instruments and control systems for multi-discipline engineering projects. The role will be working on small cap, complex projects for mainly refinery and chemical plant position.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed design packages for instrumentation, including specifications, datasheets, and drawings.
- Perform instrument selection, sizing, and procurement to meet project and industry standards.
- Design and implement control system architectures, including PLC/DCS systems and HMI configurations.
- Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation and controls into overall project designs.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing systems and support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Prepare technical reports, studies, and documentation to support project execution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
Key Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Prior experience in projects within an EPCM environment.
- Experience with pipeline facilities such as compressor and pump stations
- Familiarity with technical specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements.
