Plant and Equipment Operator

Job Title: Plant/Equipment Operator GS Aggregates LLC

Position Summary:

General Responsibilities would include operation of gravel processing plants and operating heavy equipment to maintain processing plants and load out customers.

Essential Functions:

• Plant Operation - work in a group setting to operate portable crushing and screening plants, maintain the crushing, screening, and conveying equipment. Inspect or repair the plant equipment and maintain product quality.
• Payloader Operation – operate large payloader by driving the equipment, proficiently operating the hydraulics, and inspecting any potential defects. Operate the equipment with care & with minimal operator maintenance issues/defects.
• Loading Customer Trucks – load customer trucks using the payloader & utilizing the loader bucket scales
• Management of Inventory Stockpiles – maintain a clean & structurally sound inventory stockpile to minimize waste, product quality issues & overall cleanliness.
• Ticketing & Scaling Assistance – help customers get scaled in with empty weights, gross weights & net weights. Utilize the loader scale weights to accurately load & scale out trucks efficiently.
• Grounds/Driveway Maintenance – use the payloader to keep crushing areas and driveways free of debris.

Education and Experience:

• 5 years of construction or equipment operating preferred.
• Fabrication and mechanical experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficiently operate the equipment with minimal issues.
• Perform standard maintenance and problem solve.
• Work with customers when necessary & provide high quality customer service with loadout of product.
• Adhere to the loadout and production schedule for plant operations, be on time, and complete job duties throughout the entire business day.
• Must maintain clean & organized equipment. Responsible for the cleanliness of equipment.
• Must maintain a clean & organized work area to prevent any trucking or plant operation issues.
• Must be flexible on duties & schedule, and, have an appropriate attitude & work characteristics to meet the company’s standards & culture

This job requires close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Employee is required to regularly talk and hear.

The employee must have a valid driver’s license.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.50 per hour
