Salary : $17-$22 / hour, based on school status
The Student Interns purpose is to gain exposure and experience in an engineering work environment by supporting engineering activities for both Client projects and internal efforts primarily through the development of engineering data, documentation and drawings. Student Interns may be required to perform tasks within other disciplines to support the organization (e.g. test or support of prototype / product builds).
RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Student Intern is responsible for the following tasks, and others as assigned :
- Acquire knowledge of various software packages through training modules, videos and engineers on staff.
- Generates engineering data, documents, and drawings using a variety of software applications that vary based on position and tasking.
Primarily works as part of a project team under the direction of an Engineer or Project Manager.
ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Technical : Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables and requirements in situations where only limited standardization exists. Meet program assignment expectations and client requirements.
Cost : Be aware of and work to project budgets. Maintain communication with Supervisor and Project Managers to ensure continuity of workload.
Quality : Deliver designs, drawings, and other documents that meet client expectations for quality and timing.
QUALIFICATIONS / ATTRIBUTES :
1-2 years industry experience preferred.
